RGA’s Strategic Plan

The RGA Strategic Plan assists the Central Executive and staff to focus on three key areas: core, internal and external business.

Core business strategies are designed to:

  • Provide grower support and services
  • Provide representation on a range of water issues dealing with access, sharing and responsibilities
  •  Provide representation on single desk rice marketing arrangements
  • Target research and development programs
  • Provide sustainable environments through RGA’s Environmental Flagship Programs
  • Assist members to achieve better business management programs and outcomes
  • Contribute to social goals to ensure healthy and vibrant communities
  • Promote the rice industry across Australia

Internal business strategies deal with internal communication and organisational capability – mainly relating to the functions of the Central Executive and staff.

External business strategies deal with communication with members, public perception, understanding the rice industry and influencing target audiences such as key decision makers.

RGA’s strong ties with the Rice Marketing Board for the State of New South Wales and SunRice are essential in obtaining positive outcomes for growers, in a range of key areas.
