The website provides a junior secondary teaching and learning unit about the growing of rice within a NSW community and is able to satisfy the curriculum requirements of all states and territories.

This program is targeted at middle to senior secondary students. It delivers detailed information into one the major food commodities of the modern world - rice.

Book: The Story of Rice

This book is designed to help students discover how rice is grown, harvested and milled to make the rice products on our supermarket shelves.

“The Story of Rice” was written by Kim Field and published by the Kondinin Group.

A Teachers’ Resource Kit was developed to complement “The Story of Rice” and includes a range of activities for students to learn about the Australian rice industry. It’s been designed for students in Years 5 and 6, but the information can be used for all age groups.
