MEMBERSHIP

Individuals who are producers of rice, their family members and/or sharefarmers, and other persons approved by Central Executive, are eligible for membership of an Association Branch.

The Association has eight Branches (Yanco, Mirrool, Coleambally, Berriquin, Deniliquin, Wakool, Hay and Victoria). Branches meet at least twice each year. Members elect their Branch Executive and delegates to the Central Executive.

The Central Executive is the peak decision-making body of the Association. It considers matters brought forward by members through their Branches, and other matters of importance. Four Committees of the Central Executive deal with detailed issues under consideration. The Committees are: Water Committee; Farm Business & Economics; Public Relations Committee and the Environmental Working Group.

An Annual Conference of members is held each year to discuss issues brought forward from Branches and Central Executive. Next Annual Conference will be held on 9 August 2007. (Subject Change)

The Association is serviced by a small secretariat (Executive Director, Policy Manager, Environmental Program Manager, Environmental Program Officer, Office Manager and Administration Officer) based in Leeton.
