RGA’s Environmental Champions Program (ECP)

The Australian rice industry is a recognised leader in tackling environmental challenges and the Environmental Champions Program builds on that reputation.

ECP is a total industry commitment to improving environmental outcomes. It is designed to connect environmental performance with better farm business performance, through a five level achievement program.

Growers are guided through a series of activities and credits are gained under each level, relating to on-farm actions which result in catchment improvements.

The ECP for rice-based systems is unique in the degree of cooperation it has had in its development. Rice growers, government agencies and organisations have all collectively agreed on a pathway to environmental excellence.Read more about ECP and how to become a champion on the ECP website.
