2009 Rice Field Days

The annual Rice Field Day will be held at not one, but six locations this year, ensuring farmers from across the Murrumbidgee, Coleambally and Murray growing regions all have access to the latest research, development and extension.

Join ricegrowers in your local region to focus on the positive future of rice and hear from NSW DPI, SunRice, RGA and irrigation company representatives on:

•Weather patterns and drought cycles – will rainfall return to normal when the drought breaks?
•Managing water allocations to maximise farm income;
•Tools for managing soil and crop variability;
•Delayed flooding of rice to improve returns/ML
•SunRice – future plans and market outlook;
•A rice breeding update.
