Tuesday, 22 February 2005 The Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia Inc (RGA) today welcomed Ms Victoria Taylor as the Executive Director. “Victoria is an accomplished executive, experienced communicator and a political insider with over 15 years experience,” said Mr Laurie Arthur, President of RGA. “We were impressed by the high quality of candidates applying for the position. It is testimony to the high level skills and experience possessed by Victoria that she was successful in gaining the position, "I am confident Victoria's management experience, public relations skills and knowledge of Parliamentary processes will prove invaluable,” said Mr Arthur. Ms Taylor is currently Executive Officer of the Capital Region Employment Council, and responsible for the economic development of the agricultural region surrounding Canberra. Prior to this, Ms Taylor managed her own consulting business providing public relations and policy advice to a number of rural and regional organisations. Ms Taylor has also worked as an Adviser to a Federal Minister and was employed by the WA Farmers Federation in the late 1990's. Ms Taylor will commence with RGA on 14 March 2005 and will be available for comment at that time. The departing Executive Director, Mr Matt Linnegar has taken up a position with Murrumbidgee Irrigation after six years of excellent service to members and the rice industry. CONTACT |
