Extra Disaster Assistance

Under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), flood-affected small businesses and primary producers in the Griffith, Leeton, Lockhart, Murrumbidgee, Narrandera, Urana, Wagga Wagga and Young communities can access up to $15,000 for clean-up and recovery grants.
A media release was issued on 21 March 2012 by the Attorney-General and Federal Minister for Emergency Management (The Hon Nicola Roxon MP) and the Federal Minister for Police and Emergency Services (The Hon Michael Gallacher MLC) advising that additional assistance will be made available for flood-affected farms, businesses and communities in eight NSW communities.
Applications for these grants can be made through the NSW Rural Assistance Authority by calling 1800 678 593.
