NSW Rice Marketing Board elections
19 Nov 2013 10:05 AM - Appointments welcomed by RGA
The Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia (RGA) welcomes recent appointments to the NSW Rice Marketing Board (RMB) announced by the NSW Primary Industries Minister, the Hon. Katrina Hodgkinson.
Robyn Clubb has been reappointed for a four year term and is joined by new director, Victoria Taylor.
RGA President, Les Gordon, said the Minister’s nominations have been well received by the industry.
“Robyn and Victoria are sound choices and both will make a great contribution to the Rice Marketing Board,” Mr Gordon said.
"Robyn has been a director of the RMB since 2004. Throughout her tenure, she has worked very hard for our industry and led the Board through the review of vesting in 2012."
"Victoria is well known to us, having previously been Executive Director of the RGA. We are confident she fully understands our industry and is well respected by rice growers in NSW,"
“I’d also like to recognise departing director Jan McClelland, and thank her for the excellent contribution she has made to the rice industry over the past four years,” Mr Gordon said.
He also said that he is delighted by the re-election to the board of rice grower members Noel Graham, Gillian Kirkup and Gerry Lawson.
"The three re-elected growers have done an excellent job of representing the industry as RMB directors. We congratulate them on their re-election," said Mr Gordon.
