RGA 2017 Annual Conference Success

The Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia Inc. (RGA) has enjoyed a successful 2017 Annual Conference in Leeton on the 3rd and 4th August.

The conference proceedings were run over two days: with guest speakers and gala dinner on the first day followed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and presentation of reports and financials on day two.

RGA President, Jeremy Morton, said he was pleased with attendance this year.

"We had around 200 delegates attend the conference this year and they all enjoyed hearing from our guest speakers, Brianna Casey, CEO Foodbank Australia Ltd, Matt Barwick, National Carp Control Plan Coordinator, Fisheries Research and Development Centre (FRDC), Phillip Glyde, Chief Executive, Murray Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) and Water Trade panel session who discussed different aspects of the conference theme, Building Value – Rice and Beyond," Mr Morton said.
