The Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia (RGA) has questioned the release of huge volumes of water from Murrumbidgee storages over the past week.
RGA President Jeremy Morton said that the current system of environmental water releases remains uncoordinated and lacks transparency.
“Following recent good rains, irrigators have seen massive amounts of water released from storages, and wondered why it has been happening.”
