The Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia Inc. (RGA) has thanked outgoing Murray Irrigation Limited (MIL) CEO, Anthony Couroupis, after his resignation from the company was announced today.
RGA President, Les Gordon, said the Association has always enjoyed a very strong relationship with MIL and Mr Couroupis had been particularly active in working with the RGA to achieve good outcomes for rice growers.
“Anthony always availed himself to the RGA, whether that was by attending and updating growers at our branch meetings or working closely with our staff on the Grain Harvest Management Scheme.”
“Over the past seven years, Anthony has made a significant and valuable contribution to Murray Irrigation and the Murray Irrigation Area as a whole. On behalf of the RGA I would like to thank Anthony for his hard work and wish him all the very best for his future endeavours,” Mr Gordon said.
“The RGA will continue to work closely with MIL through the acting CEO, Jenny McLeod, as the company transitions to their new management structure.”
