To celebrate the International Year of Rice, the Australian rice industry is working with Australia’s leading chefs to cook the world’s biggest risotto in Sydney on Friday 26th November.

This is your chance to witness a world record in the making.

Watch the risotto being made, enjoy the live entertainment, taste the risotto, learn about the Australian rice industry and help raise money for CARE Australia.

The custom-made risotto pan is the size of a swimming pool, the stirring paddles are the size of rowing oars, and the Risotto recipe calls for half a tonne of peas.

The risotto will be served up to hungry spectators from 12 midday, with live music from a series of entertainers including Vanessa Amorosi. All proceeds will go to charity CARE Australia, to combat world hunger.
