RGA Rice Industry Leadership Program 2020

Mentoring Program

RGA mentoring program partnering with AgriFutures Australia and Rare Birds

Earlier this year the Ricegrowers Association of Australia together with AgriFutures Australia offered individuals working within the rice industry or an AgriFutures Australia levied industry, the opportunity to participate in a 12 month Mentoring Program facilitated by Rare Birds

We are now underway with another one of our fantastic Leadership offerings – this time 9 Rice Industry representative are taking part in a online mentoring experience to advance their personal and business development via one-on-one mentoring.

Throughout the next 12 months, participants will be engaging in mentorship with an experienced, high calibre mentor where they will have access too:

  • Gain qualitative and subjective counselling
  • Learn through experience and observation, often side-stepping obstacles and hurdles due to your mentor’s willingness to gift experience and tangible, transferable advice
  • Define and set long-term goals with appropriate steps to realise those goals
  • Be inspired and supported by your mentor to believe you are capable of producing, executing and achieving.

Formal mentoring is a new approach for Agriculture and we are excited to see how our growers, staff and community find the opportunity to be mentored by someone outside our industry. We hope this mentorship relationship will help our participants evolve their businesses and our industry.

I congratulate those selected below, for applying and being successful to be part of something new and exciting for the Rice Industry and the broader Agricultural Industry.
