AgriFutures Australia is the Research and Development Corporation that manages rice research through the levy-funded AgriFutures Rice Program.

The AgriFutures Rice Program focuses on ensuring the rice industry is a global leader for improved water use efficiency with four key objectives:
1. Optimised genetic improvement
2. Agronomy and farming systems
3. Coordinated industry extension
4. Strengthened industry capacity

The AgriFutures Rice Program RD&E Plan identifies and balances the research, development and extension priorities and outcomes to promote industry productivity, profitability and sustainability.
