3rd May 2021 - POLICY MANAGER - NINE MONTH MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT
The Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia (RGA) is seeking a motivated and dynamic Water Policy Manager to fill a nine (9) month maternity leave contract.
This is a part-time position (four days per week negotiable) is based in either the RGA’s Leeton or Deniliquin offices, NSW, or with the option to work remotely for suitable candidates, and reporting to the RGA’s Executive Director.
The Position: Policy Manager responsible for leading the RGA's policy development and advocacy functions with respect to water policy, and for educating members on matters relevant to water policy. It is a fast paced and dynamic role as part of a small and friendly team.
The successful applicant will have an ability to:
- comprehend complex policy issues,
- develop and implement effective advocacy strategies,
- exercise sound judgement,
- communicate and negotiate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, and
- understand the needs and expectations of the RGA membership.
Tertiary qualifications and experience in agri-politics, agri-business, commerce, law, economics or similar disciplines will be highly regarded.
Travel and after business hours attendance at meetings and events is required.
