The RGA provides a strong, united voice for the rice industry. It represents the interests of rice growers and provides services to members to ensure they can provide a legacy for their children, create employment in their districts and grow quality rice. It does this through a network of Branches, a Central Executive, a Board and the professional staff under the management of the Executive Director.
Ongoing support for the RGA is appreciated and members and their communities can rest assured that the team will continue to work hard to represent the interests of growers and the rice industry.
Members’ interests are served by three committees focusing on the following areas of policy; Water, Productivity & Industry Affairs and Environmental Sustainability. The RGA also administers the industry’s extension services and works with AgriFutures Australia to maximise outcomes from the Rice R&D program, which are both vital to improving farm profitability.
