Grower of the Year Field day

11.30am - 4.30pm Thursday 12 December, Peter & Renee Burke, Jerilderie, NSW.

 

A celebration of excellence and chance to learn about the farm business of the C19 SunRice Grower of the Year, Peter and Renee Burke with social meal and refreshments to follow.

An Evening with the Bitterns

5.15pm - 9.30pm Wednesday 18 December, Kerang, VIC. 

 

The Australian Government’s funded, ‘Bringing back the bittern’ project is aiming to see numbers of this cryptic bird rise through increasing and improving their habitat. 

The North Central CMA is bringing you two fascinating speakers to learn more about this species as well as hearing about some of the satellite tracking projects happening. 

The evening will finish with an optional visit to Johnson Swamp to hopefully hear some of these cryptic birds calling. 

 

Bring sturdy shoes, long pants and a water bottle if you are coming on the field trip. COST: FREE - including dinner.

Drought Community Support Initiative is now active 

This is the $3,000 cash payments for drought affected farmers.  

How to apply:

If you're a young farmer or fisher, or aspiring to become one, the Young Farmer Business Program (YFBP) Conference will inspire and motivate you as well as offering insights into the key business drivers you need to be thinking about. 

The Conference will be followed by a networking dinner for all delegates. The event builds on existing programs and aims to provide opportunities  for our next generation of primary producers to enter into farming or fishing or to expand their existing businesses.

Agrifutures Australia has locked in the dates for evokeAG 2020 where you will learn about the latest agrifood tech trends with an international focus. 

Producer and student tickets have been introduced for the conference next year.

 

COST: $440 for students, $770 for primary producers and $1100 for delegates.
