Rice Extension brings together growers, agronomists, and researchers to share practical information that supports the success of the local rice‑growing industry.

From on‑farm initiatives such as Focus Sites and research projects to real‑time digital tools and local data, the program promotes profitable and sustainable rice‑based farming systems.

Rice Extension is funded by rice growers and the Australian Government through the AgriFutures Australia Rice Program. It represents a collaboration between AgriFutures, SunRice Group, and the Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia to create a single, industry‑wide extension structure that enables targeted, individual information, advice, and support for both existing and potential rice growers.
